Accessibility
We want remempass.org to work for everyone. This is how far we have got, and how to tell us when it does not work for you.
Effective 21 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-21
Draft pending legal review.
Our target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across remempass.org.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML with landmarks, a skip link and a logical heading order.
- Every control reachable and usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
- Text and interface colours checked against the WCAG AA contrast ratios, in both light and dark themes.
- Animation turned off when you ask your system to reduce motion.
- Forms that work without JavaScript, with labels and error messages tied to each field.
- Pages that reflow to a phone's width without horizontal scrolling.
Known limitations
- The bot check on the sign-up and sign-in forms is Cloudflare Turnstile, and its accessibility is in Cloudflare's hands. If it blocks you, write to hello@remempass.org and we will add you by hand.
- The site has not yet had an independent accessibility audit.
Tell us
If something on the site does not work for you, write to hello@remempass.org. We aim to reply within five working days.
The European Accessibility Act
The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) applies to certain products and services from 28 June 2025. A free alpha run by an individual is probably not within its scope yet. We aim to meet its requirements anyway, and will review this statement before Remem becomes a paid service.
