The quick panel and the screen-edge handle
Copy a code or password without opening the main window, from the menu bar or a small handle at the edge of the screen.

The quick panel is a small floating list of your one-time codes and passwords, favourites first, then in alphabetical order, in your groups if you use them. It is a second place your vault can be seen from, so it is off until you turn it on.
Turn it on
- Open Settings and find Quick access.
- Switch on Menu bar item. This is the dependable way in, and it works over full-screen apps.
- Optionally, set Handle at the screen edge to Left edge, Right edge or Top edge. Not shown turns it off.
Both appear only after you have unlocked the vault, and both hide when it locks.
Use it
- Menu bar: click the Remem icon to open the panel; click again to close it.
- Screen-edge handle: it rests as three small dots. Bring the pointer near and it grows into Codes, Passwords and +. Each opens the panel on that list; + starts a new item.
- Click a row to copy. Codes are copied at the moment you click. Search in the panel (Search vault) covers titles, never secrets.
- When the panel loses focus it is dismissed, and its list is cleared rather than kept in the background.
Why the panel shows a ring and not the code
A panel left floating over your work is readable over a shoulder and caught by screen shares. So by default it shows only the countdown ring for each code, and the code goes straight to the clipboard when you click. If you want to see digits there, switch on Show codes in the quick view in Settings → Quick access: the digits then sit beside the ring for as long as the panel is open. The panel never shows a password.
What if…
I can’t see the menu bar icon or the handle
Check they are switched on in Settings → Quick access, and that the vault is unlocked. On a Mac with a crowded menu bar, macOS can hide icons behind the camera notch.
The handle gets in the way
Move it to another edge, or set it to Not shown and use the menu bar item.
